Going to college, where should I leave my dogs?

I am going to college and I have two dogs (a Shih Tzu and a Chihuahua). My mom refuses to take care of them, my brother is too young to look after them, and none of my friends are willing to take them. Are there any options besides the pound where I can give up my dogs? I love them and I want to find them a good home :/ Thanks in advance.
