What dog breed would fit this lifestyle?

i think a purebred lab would be good because i have one and my dog always barks when someone comes to my house. She barks wether its family or a complete stranger. my dog was high energy as a puppy but then simmered down. she always wants to be active and she is completely a nice dog. she has never tried to bite anyone and i dont think she would. My parents said that they know the difference between a baby and an adult so they know to be gentle around the baby and can more rufhouse with the adults. they also know the difference between emotions so that can comfort you. my dog doesnt like to cuddle but however my last dog loved to. lab is the way to go.
